I this better than German new¬comer Robert Dietz, who’s taken a break from his business studies to concentrate fully on music and touring. “My success might only be for a few years,” says the modest Dietz. “So I can decide in a few years if I want to finish my studies.”

It’s been a steep rise for Robert, now one of the hottest underground house producers around, as he only started making tunes two years ago after a friend taught him how to use the software. “My close friend Frank Heinrich, who’s Reboot from Cadenza (Luciano’s label) showed me how to use the software and write in a certain way,” he says. “Without him I couldn’t have got the quick results.” Villadi
